Nintendo has delayed 64 GB Switch cartridges until 2019, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Right now the highest capacity cartridges are 32 GB, which means that some games simply do not fit on to a cartridge and need additional downloads, which can be dozens of gigabytes.
Some games even need a warning on the box due to their storage requirements.
The 64 GB versions were supposed to be available in the second half of 2018, but developers will now have to wait longer. The delay is due to technical issues Nintendo is having.
The end result? According to the WSJ report, some developers might wait until the new cartridges are available before releasing their game on the Switch.
