In this week’s Cult of Mac Magazine, we take a look at
how a Siri-powered smart speaker could bring better audio
(and a higher price tag) than the Amazon Echo. It’s highly like
such a device will be unveiled by Apple at the Worldwide
Developers Conference in June.

Plus we’ve got
how-tos: You’ll learn how to turn anything into a PDF on your
iPhone or iPad, and how to use Apple Pencil to mark up those
PDFs in the Mail app.

Also, check out Juuk Designs’ third collection of
high-grade aluminum bands for Apple Watch. The new Ligero
collection is now on view in our Watch Store.

Here are
this week’s top stories.

Siri
speaker might be an Echo for audiophile

A Siri smart speaker will bring better audio (and a higher
price tag) than the Amazon Echo, and we might get our first
look next month, according to a prominent analyst.

KGI
Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo says it’s increasingly likely Apple
will debut its high-end audio device at WWDC in June.

xApple’s
new Siri speaker could be revealed at
WWDC

Trouble in China, iPhone slump and other Apple earnings
surprises
Apple’s
Q2 earnings report for 2017 just barely beat Wall Street’s
expectations when the numbers were revealed this afternoon, but
there are plenty of reasons to still be optimistic about AAPL.

xiPhone
8 could be delayed until early 2018
“Component
shortages and technical challenges” could delay the iPhone 8
until 2018, according to a research note from Deutsche Bank
analysts.

Deutsche Bank’s note is apparently based on information from

report from ValueWalk. Although it thinks you may
be waiting a bit longer for the iPhone 8, however, it does go
against some
recent reports by saying that Apple will also release an
iPhone 7s this fall.

xJuuk’s
aircraft-grade aluminum Apple Watch band is ready for
takeoff
Made from 6061 series aluminum,
the Ligero by Juuk is incredibly strong yet lightweight. Extra
capsa pins and a proprietary adjustment tool are included with
every Juuk band, and make any size adjustments very easy right
out of the box. The new aluminum bands come in Cadmium, Cobalt,
